The Royal Meteorological Institute (RMI) has issued an orange warning for high temperatures across all Belgian provinces this Saturday, except for the Coast, which remains under a yellow warning until Sunday.
Temperatures are expected to exceed 35°C in many areas, with eastern regions potentially reaching 37°C or 38°C, and some isolated areas experiencing 39°C.
Residents are advised to stay hydrated, wear light clothing, spend time in cool places, and minimise exposure to outdoor heat by keeping doors and windows closed.
The alert phase of the ozone and extreme heat action plan activated by the Federal Public Service for Public Health remains in effect.
