A plane crash near Nancy in northeastern France has claimed the lives of eleven people, local authorities reported on Sunday.
The accident occurred at 11:00 near Nancy-Essey Airport in Tomblaine, Meurthe-et-Moselle.
According to the regional newspaper L’Est Républicain, the aircraft was carrying passengers preparing for their first parachute jumps.
The victims included five instructors, five trainees, and the pilot.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
