Four kittens that had apparently been abandoned in a glass recycling container in Liège were rescued by firefighters on Saturday morning.
Firefighters were called to Rue de Gaillarmont in Chênée, a district of Liège, shortly before 11:00.
A witness alerted the emergency services after spotting the young cats inside the container.
The kittens appeared to have been dumped there. After rescuing them, firefighters took the animals to a rehabilitation centre for treatment.
