March for Ukraine might disrupt tram services on Sunday

Promote Ukraine will host a unique social and cultural event in support of Ukraine on Sunday 8 May, on the occasion of Europe Day on Monday. Several tram lines might be disrupted.

The non-profit media hub provides a platform for Ukrainian and European experts and civil society activists to raise issues regarding the EU, Ukraine and Russia. The event on Sunday will be divided into two parts.

A march for Ukraine will start in the metro station Rogier at 16:00 and finish at Place de Luxembourg, in front of the European Parliament, at 18:00.

Following the march, there will be an open-air charity concert including a Ukrainian food tasting at Place de Luxembourg.

Promote Ukraine encourages visitors to donate by buying a ticket online or, alternatively, suggests an entrance donation of €15.

All funds raised will be used by Promote Ukraine to meet the urgent needs of Ukrainians for medical supplies, protective equipment, and other humanitarian aid.

Tram disruptions

The march is likely to cause disruptions to tram services on Sunday might between 17:00 and 18:00 on lines 12, 14, 20, 29, 34, 38, 58, 61, 63, 64, 65, 66, 80, 88, 92, 93 and 95.
