Two cars caught on fire in the early hours of Friday in the Brussels municipality of Anderlecht, according to the Brussels Fire Brigade. Authorities suspect arson was at play.
The first blaze occurred around 03:30 at Place Alphonse Lemmens, where a rubbish bin was also on fire. The second fire was reported at approximately 04:15 on Rue Abbé Cuylits.
No injuries were reported, however, the two vehicles sustained damage.
Initial findings suggest that the incidents were due to arson. The Public Prosecutor's Office has opened an investigation into the case.
