Another drone spotted over Antwerp airport and Flemish military base

A drone was spotted above Antwerp Airport in Deurne on Saturday evening, according to federal police. A report was filed, and an investigation has been launched into the incident.

According to Het Laatste Nieuws, the drone’s presence endangered a plane that had just begun its landing. The police declined to make any further comment at this time.

Suspicious drones were also reported above the Kleine-Brogel military base in Peer, Limburg, on Saturday evening at around 18:30.

The Mayor of Peer, Steven Matheï, confirmed the presence of at least one drone in the area. A member of the military base had already spotted another similar device during the night between Friday and Saturday and had reported it to the police.
