A taxi ploughed into the front of the Buca Di Bacco restaurant on Avenue Louis Bertrand in Schaerbeek during the night from Wednesday to Thursday.
According to Brussels fire brigade spokesperson Walter Derieuw, crews were called shortly after midnight. An ambulance arrived at 00.06 to treat one injured person, who was taken to hospital.
Firefighters later returned to deal with a fuel leak caused by the impact.
The circumstances of the crash remain unclear.
