The Belgian Pairi Daiza zoo has welcomed two young Caribbean manatees.
The animals, Cuango from ZooParc de Beauval and Ambroży from Wroclaw Zoo, are five-year-old males. They are both currently adjusting to their new surroundings and to each other.
They are set to be showcased in the freshwater basin of Edenya, a recently opened area of Pairi Daiza.
Manatees are a protected species and can weigh up to 500 kilograms.
Further arrivals of two more manatees are expected in the coming weeks.
