With a temperature of 34.2°C recorded in Uccle, the daily record set in 1911 (33.5°C) has been broken.

Meteorologist David Dehenauw announced this on Wednesday afternoon on social media.

However, we will have to wait until Wednesday evening to find out the final maximum temperature.

Several daily temperature records have been broken this summer, particularly at the end of June.

26 June remains, for the time being, the hottest day of the year, with 35.3°C recorded in Uccle.
